Warren G. Harding
Warren G. Harding was born on November 2, 1865, in Corsica, Ohio, now known as Blooming Grove. A bright student, he attended Ohio Central College at just 14 years old, graduating in 1882. Harding’s early career was diverse—he owned the *Marion Daily Star* newspaper, worked as a teacher, and sold insurance. His interest in public service led him to politics, where he won a seat in the Ohio legislature. Harding’s political journey culminated in his election as President of the United States in 1921. His presidency, however, was cut short by his sudden death from a heart attack in 1923, just three years into his term.
